Gate Valves
What is a gate valve?
A gate valve is one of the shut-off valves used to shut off the flow of a liquid or interrupt the flow of a medium. Thus, valves through which media such as liquids or even gases flow are partially opened or closed completely by the gate valve. Therefore, gate valves are usually used in a pipe system to open and close the entire flow. One advantage is the mostly full and free passage. Gate valves are suitable for high nominal pressures and have hardly any flow resistance when open, which are further advantages for gate valves.
This list shows the various types of gate valves:
- Threaded Gate Valves
- Wedge Gate Valves
- Oval Gate Valves (Wedge-Oval Gate Valves)
- Knife Gate Valve
Gate Valves are used in the following applications:
- Chemical Industry
- Petrochemical Industry
- Food and drink Industries
- Water Purification
- Biogas Plants
- Drainage Systems
