Flow indicator with rotary ball and screwed connection

The stream is indicated by rotation of one or several balls underneath the sight glass.

Details:

  • extraordinary robust industrial construction, since only the ball is moved and no bearings are needed
  • vertical or horizontal installation into the pipeline
  • excellent chemical durability by disposition of a PTFE-ball and appropriate body material
  • being installed into the wrong mounting direction, no flow blockage is yielded
  • Threaded connection: G1/4 to G2, resp. L18 or L22
  • Body materials: brass, steel, stainless steel, salt-water-proofed duplex material
  • Working range (fluids): 30L/hr to 8000L/hr, divided in 5 flowing ranges
  • maximum nominal pressure: PN64
  • maximum operating temperature: 120°C

Operating principle of a flow indicator

The flow is indicated by rotation of one or more balls under the viewing window. This is an optical flow control. The integrated sight glass in the fitting allows the ball to be visually seen and the media flow rate is displayed. Liquids such as viscous liquids, gases or vapors are no problem for the flow indicator from Koch-Neuburg®. The version with a rotating ball is the most common series. This internal float serves as an optical control, similar to a flow meter. A rotating triangle in the inner part is offered as an alternative.
